Zoey Francis Thompson Deutch (nato il 10 novembre 1994) è un'attrice e produttrice americana.

Deutch ha iniziato la sua carriera con ruoli da protagonista nel film fantasy gotico Beautiful Creatures (2013) e nella commedia horror Vampire Academy (2014). Nel 2016, ha recitato nel ruolo di Beverly nella commedia Everybody Wants Some !! e Stephanie Fleming nella commedia Why Him ?. Nel 2017, ha recitato nel ruolo di Samantha Kingston nel dramma Before I Fall, Erica Vandross nella commedia drammatica Flower e Harper nella commedia romantica Set It Up. Ha anche prodotto e recitato nei film The Year of Spectacular Men (2017) e Buffaloed (2019).

Deutch è la figlia minore del regista Howard Deutch e dell'attrice e regista Lea Thompson.

Primi passi

Zoey Francis Thompson Deutch è nata il 10 novembre 1994 a Los Angeles, in California, dall'attrice Lea Thompson e dal regista Howard Deutch. Ha una sorella, Madelyn Deutch, che è anche un'attrice. Tra i suoi parenti più stretti figurano il musicista Barbara Barry Thompson, l'esecutore musicale Murray Deutch e l'attore Robert Walden. Sua madre, originaria del Minnesota, è di origine irlandese mentre suo padre, originario di New York, è di origine ebraica. E' ebrea e ha avuto un Bat Mitzvah.

Ha iniziato a frequentare corsi di recitazione all'età di cinque anni. Deutch ha studiato alla Oakwood School, alla Los Angeles County High School for the Arts e al Young Actors Space. Si è specializzata in teatro presso la L.A. County High School for the Arts. È una vorace lettrice, studia con un tutor di scienze politiche (con un focus attuale sulla legge costituzionale) e tiene lezioni d'arte al Museo d'Arte della Contea di Los Angeles.
